LA plans 1.3 GW of solar by 2020
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA, December 4, 2008. The Mayor of Los Angeles has unveiled plans for 1.3 GW of solar power by 2020, enough to meet 10% of LA’s energy needs.

California retailers must have 33% RE by 2020
CALIFORNIA, USA, December 4, 2008. Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed Executive Order S-14-08, revising California's existing Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) upward to require all retail sellers of electricity to serve 33% of their load from renewable energy sources by 2020.
